Potter, the name that has gripped the whole world like Magic currently, needs no introduction. But this post is about the memories of me with the Potter world ( the glorious 11 years) and the golden trio that stole my heart forever
Met Harry potter exactly 11 years back in my teens and the first meeting was quite awkward and unexpected (surprising actually seeing my craze for him lately:). My BFF introduced me to his world. At first I was not willing for the adventure, so humbly denied the entry cause the world of witch, wizard seemed bizarre to me and too add, even childish. But the amazing persuasion power of my BFF finally made me give in and after 3 complete attempts (actually rumbling through the first few chapters time and again for a week or so) I finally entered his world and thereafter there was no looking back.
As I became comfortable with his world I finished the first part in 1 day and was asking for more. 2nd and 3rd was finished in a ziffy leaving a long wait for "The Goblet of fire". May be this yearning is the reason it happens to be my Favorite part all along.
I was tantalized by his world. The impossible getting possible. He became my own and shared his world with me. Becoming the part of it was the most exciting thing ever. It was like having a best friend with you 24/7. When life gave me lemons I turned to him for advice and amazingly Dumbledore and Hermione never let me down. The fact that it's just not a wizard story woven in literature but a daily dose of living in a different world with morals sewn with great care and effort. It's advice about friendship, love (not the infatuation one but the real one between parents, siblings, friends) though simple was delivered with perfection. One will never forget the value of their dear ones once visiting the world with him.
The future books got more darker and darker. The rise of the Evil, premature deaths, the notion that none is perfect (even great minds like Dumbledore had made mistakes), Present is more important then past, Life is nothing in-front of friendship e.t.c were portrayed beautifully. And finally the win of good over evil, hope over despair ended the series.
The wait for the books; the excitement in the air few months before its release has always been a integral part of my being. Then it was followed by the movies. I still remember my hostel days when few of us Potterheads returned home just to gather at my place to see the television release of "The Chamber of Secrets" (Good Ol' times). But the wait is over now, the yearning has ended. Finally Potter said bye-bye in style.
Not sure if I ll be reading those books again because with time things change/move on, priorities become different. But the journey together was awe-inspiring and will be more then happy to share these memories with anyone who want to be a part of it.
Finally,Should i say ' I solemnly swear i'm upto no good' or 'mischief managed' or feel miserable that a decade long obsession has finally come to an end. But Whatsoever the whole world knows this magic will prevail. Gushing through the veins of the future younger generation this literature will end only with human extinction. Tranquility at last :) and i still believe in Rowling.
Thank you so much for your imagination that left me with glorious memories.

Though I'm more of a book person than a movie one, ideally my wait was over with "The Deathly Hallows" book. But the wait for the final movie was like a boon. With all the twittermates chattering around the world, with excitement; months before it's release. The whole wait, laughter, cry became enchanting. I doubt I will ever have such wonderful moment again in my life or I ll fall head over heels with anyother thing/being like I had in this one. But this experience was tantalizing and will remain with me for ever. Especially watching "The Deathly hallows Part 2" with my buddies in 3D.
Last minute preparations, the uncertainty of this movie being released here e.tc. But finally we were able to watch first day, first show in seat no H7 :) (co-incidence!!!)Those memories will be with me for ever.
